As a church we believe in team ministry, and the church has a leadership team made up of Elders and Deacons.

The team of Elders have clear oversight and responsibility to lead the fellowship spiritually and are supported by a team of deacons who ably support the main leadership team.

REACH, PREACH, TEACH,- ENCOUNTER, INSPIRE, SERVE

Oliver and Lorraine have been at New Hope since 2011. They serve as the senior leaders of the fellowship, casting vision and encouraging people generally to get closer to Jesus!

Oly has really enjoyed trying to re-purpose the church into outreach & growth over this period.

Oly Is part of the Sports Chaplaincy Uk family, and is Chaplain to the Bradford City Football Club. He goes to the first team training sessions each week to encourage the players and staff and attends the home games at Valley Parade.

Oly & Lorraine are part of the MFG network, and look to Colin Cooper and the wider team at Huddersfield Christian Fellowship and MFG for spiritual oversight and covering!

What is next?

We believe the next 5 years will be a significant period at New Hope- ‘2020-2025’ as we look to move forward into all that God has for us as a church fellowship.

We have 9 distinctive as a Church community. We use these as a plumbline in our teaching and discipleship programs.

As a Church we need to be outward looking, with a heart to teach Gods truth, that we know brings freedom and liberty. To create a space where we can truly  encounter God and be inspired to Change, and to ultimately serve other people. We want people to see and meet Jesus.

Reach, Preach, Teach

Family Profile

Oly & Lorraine have three children, Quincy, Estelle, and Austin. They also have a fab family cockerpoo dog! Mr Kessler!

Oliver’s background was in business for many years, where he held several senior positions, in particular heading up Sales teams and ‘Change’ management prior to joining New Hope.

Lorraine works part-time teaching English, Maths and basic skills to adult learners in further education.

As a family they enjoy spending time with family & friends, (usually centered around a good meal!)...We love the noise of being with people and going out walking with the family dog!

Neville Hattersley- Elder

I'm Neville, I'm married to Louise and we have two grown girls, Molly & Lucy.

I was born and bred in Bradford and grew upin Clayton where I became a Christian and was baptised in my teens at Clayton Baptist Church. I went to Bradford Elim Chruch for a few years and 25 years ago when I met Louise; I started to attend Sunbridge Road Mission where Louise had been going since attending Girls Brigade as a teenager.

We have been involved in church lifesince then; Louise was Girls Brigade Commissioner for a few years; we have run bible studies, taught in Sunday School and run youth/all age camps.

We were challenged by God to leave Sunbridge Road around 2011, which we did, not knowing where to go. After trying a few fellowships Oly invited us to New Hope for a visit. We clearly felt that soon after that God was asking us to come and support Oly and Lorraine. Like when Moses was tired, friends lifted his hands, we felt that this was part of our role at NHCF.

To support Oly and Lorraine in seeing us help to build a church that honours and glorifies Jesus.
